Overall, Toyota's market share continues to climb. Its full-size Tundra and compact Tacoma are available in loads of different configurations to suit your needs. In 2008, Toyota introduced the Tundra Grade truck, a regular cab work truck without all the bells and whistles found on some models -- and a lower pricetag. It's outfitted with a new style chrome bumper and matte-black grille, which replace the 2007 Tundra's shiny black front bumper and grille surround.
Most auto manufacturers introduce concept and custom trucks from time to time, although some brands are more active with concepts than others. The truck pictures in the majority of these galleries were taken at car shows. Some of the trucks have become production models, and it's interesting to see which features were retained and which ones had to be discarded.
This gallery includes trucks customized by aftermarket companies to showcase their parts and accessories.
I'm a vintage truck fan, and I'm always looking for pictures of them. Classic truck pictures help us identify the similarities and differences in trucks from different model years, and that makes it a whole lot easier to recognize trucks in ads, in shows, or on the street. Some of my photos came straight from the automakers, and it's not uncommon for them to make model year errors. I think we've found them all, but if you ever question a truck's caption -- or the information about it -- send me an email.
Jeep enthusiasts will find vintage Jeep photo galleries in this folder.
We used to talk about SUVs on About.com Trucks, but the topic split into two sites a few years ago. The SUV photo galleries are still intact though, and cover vehicles from 2004-2006, with a few 2007 SUVs thrown in.
