F-150 Truck's Fuel Saving Capabilities

As always, F-150 pickup trucks are available in numerous configurations. Special trim packages include Lariat, King Ranch®, Platinum and the new Limited model. All trucks in those packages are equipped with SYNCH with MyFord Touch.SYNC is a voice-activated communications and entertainment system (standard on XLT trucks and above) that provides hands-free control for mobile devices, 911 Assist and a vehicle health report. The system also offers an optional subscription service that gives drivers traffic updates, along with turn-by-turn directions, maps from Google and MapQuest, news, sports happenings, weather and more.
SYNC paired with a new 4.2-inch LCD screen in the center stack enhances displays of audio and climate-control functions. Drivers can set up menus for gauges, a trip computer, fuel economy, towing and off-roading.
SYNC with MyFord Touch increases communications capabilities even more. An 8-inch LCD color touch screen is mounted in the center stack, and the package includes a hub with two USB ports, an SD card reader and audio/video input jacks. A voice-activated navigation system is available, along with integrated SiriusXM Travel Link.
New Interior Colors
- A Steel Gray interior is available on Lariat trucks.
- Black interiors are available for King Ranch pickups.
- Lariat and King Ranch pickups both have wood grain appliqués.
- Platinum edition F-150 trucks have two new choices for their leather seats -- Black or Pecan.
- The FX Appearance Package now includes Alcantara seat inserts for a sportier appearance.
Ford introduced the new F-150 at a gathering of Future Farmers of America (FFA) in Bruceville, Texas. Ford has sponsored the FFA since 1948, the first year its F-Series truck went on the market.
