2007 Ford Ranger Truck Highlights and Photo Gallery

Tuesday July 24, 2007
Large trucks have taken a hit in sales since gas took its big hike upwards. Even activity on the Ford F-150, always a top seller, has slowed down. The slowdown probably won't last--if you need a full-size truck you need a full-size truck. But a compact truck is a real good alternative for many drivers. The new Ford Ranger offers several changes and highlights for 2007. And we have some good pictures of the new Ranger. The 4-cylinder Ranger ranks at the top of the EPA's truck fuel economy ratings--at 29 highway and 24 city, not bad -- although real life figures will be lower. It comes in plenty of configurations, so it's a truck to consider if you're looking at compacts.

after more than 32 years with ford, i retired and had to buy a vehicle for my own use – no more company vehicle. i bought a 2007 ranger fx4 level II. after 3 months of general use, including trips to the desert, the mountains, and shooting ranges as well as the grocery, etc., my ranger is a zero-problem rig. the sound system is great, the mileage is creeping up into the high teens as the miles add up, i get admiring glances and “thumbs-up” from passers-by, and, my favorite thing: NO RATTLES !! thusfar, i’m very happy. i wish i had more power, even with the 4L, i’d like a turbo or supercharger option (or a small V8 ),but in these times of fuel and green concerns, i understand. my suggestion: buy a ranger.
