Hunters, fishermen and anyone who likes to camp out might want to take a look at the Sportz Truck Tent III, by Napier Enterprises, a tent that sets up in the bed of your truck in about 10 minutes. Poles and corresponding sleeves are color-coded to make set-up an intuitive process.A patented, sewn-in floor keeps bugs and dirt from entering the tent. Ceiling vents keep air moving and the tent has two large mesh windows with storm flaps. The package comes with a 6' x 6' awning (with adjustable poles) to help protect the entrance from sun and moisture.
When assembled, the truck tent has a center ceiling height of 5-1/2 feet.
The current version of the tent stops at the end of the truck's open tailgate, but the 2011 version will likely extend to the ground, similar to the SUV version. The Sportz Truck Tent III weighs about 20 lbs and folds up to fit in a carrying bag that is about 2' X 1' X 1'. I saw the tent at the SEMA Show and was impressed with its construction.
