Henry Ford's Race Car
It's not a truck, but this car holds a major place in Ford history.Henry Ford called this car 1901 Sweepstakes when he drove it in his first (and only) race, a 10-lap event on a one-mile oval track at the Detroit Driving Club. Ford came from behind to overtake Alexander Winton, a then-famous car builder and racer.
The win gave Ford the clout he needed to attract investors for the Henry Ford Company, which became the Ford Motor Company in 1903.
