Ford F-150 FX2 "UNBOUND" Project Truck
Personalized 2008 F-150 Supercab 4x2 Truck

From Dale Wickell, About.com

The Ford F-150 FX2 "UNBOUND" Project Truck is part of the company's Vehicle Personalization Program, a way to show owners how they can personalize their own vehicles. The parts and accessories used on the truck are a combination of Genuine Ford Accessories, Ford Licensed Accessories, Ford Racing Performance parts, and concept accessories designed especially for the UNBOUND project truck.

The truck was introduced at the 2007 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, along with two personalized cars, the Mustang "UNLEASHED" and the Focus "UNTETHERED."

You might remember the FX2 truck introduced at the 2006 SEMA Show. Some of the then-concept items on that truck are now available as factory accessories, thanks to positive feedback Ford received through its dealers and other channels. The goal of the design team is 2-part: show people how they can personalize their trucks, and showcase ideas for future accessories -- if you like it, they'll consider building it.
