2009 Suzuki Equator TruckSuzuki Introduces New Equator Truck with Three Concepts: RMZ-4, Quad & Quay Suzuki introduced its Equator pickup truck at the 2008 Chicago Auto Show, showing us three different customized trucks instead of the production version. The RMZ-4, the Quad and the Quay all tie-in with other Suzuki products.
The mid-size Equator is based on the Nissan Frontier and will be built at Nissan's factory in Tennessee in Crew Cab and Extended Cab configurations. Equator Highlights A 2.5L four-cylinder engine is standard, but a V-6 Equator is available. Expect a towing capability of about 6,500 pounds. The Equator has four-wheel disc brakes with an anti-lock braking system and electronic brake force distribution. The truck comes with a factory spray-on bedliner and an extensive adjustable track system. Look for flip-up seats in the Equator's second row, and a front passenger seat that folds flat. The Crew Cab version has some extra options, like heated leather seats, a power adjustable driver's seat, heated mirrors and factory installed moonroof.
