Chrysler Groups SkunkWerks team is made up of in-house enthusiasts--designers, engineers, marketers and product planners who work to turn out Chrysler products with a twist. Their vehicles sometimes give us hints at the future design directions the company might take, with production vehicles and with their Mopar performance parts line.
Trucks and SUVs were among the vehicles customized for the 2004 SEMA show.
SkunkWerks Concepts
SkunkWerks Jeep Grand Cherokee Mojave
The Jeep Grand Cherokee Mojave has a modified 5.7-liter HEMI® engine, 22-inch wheels, a matte-black hood with accents, and an offroad bumper that includes a winch and tow hooks.
SkunkWerks Dodge Dakota Warrior H.O.
The Dodge Dakota Warrior H.O. (High Output) is a Dakota Quad Cab that's powered by a 260-hp 4.7-liter High Output engine. It has a water-fording intake system, a wider track than the production Dakota, a front-bumper winch with tow hooks, decoupling sway bars and off-road tires. The interior features two-tone orange and black racing bucket seats from Katzkin.
A hood scoop, wheel flares, custom spare holder, a special tubular tail gate, light bar and sport bar top off the truck's looks and functionality.
SkunkWerks Dodge Durango "Dude"
The SkunkWerks team powered the Dude with a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine. Modifications include a cat-back dual exhaust, lowered suspension, custom front and rear fascias, sill extensions, a composite hood inspired by the Viper-powered Dodge Ram SRT10, 20-inch billet wheels, custom seating and Tangerine Pearl paint.

Chrysler Group Image Team Vehicles
SkunkWerks vehicles were joined by dozens of other Chrysler vehicles developed by SEMA members, including:
Performance West Dodge Dakota T/A
Performance West and the Chrysler Group Image Team combined to create the Dodge Dakota T/A from a 2005 Dakota 4x2 Club Cab. The truck has a 4.7-liter V8 engine, with a Ram Air package and cat-back dual exhaust added to increase power.
A custom six-pack hood and Plum Crazy Purple paint both help make the truck a head-turner. The truck's stance is enhanced by 20-inch alloy wheels mounted with ZR-rated low-profile tires.
Mopar Daytona Dodge Ram
Roush Industries partnered with the Chrysler Image Team to develop the Mopar Daytona Dodge Ram, which features a functional shaker-hood air-induction system and a true dual exhaust system exiting through polished aluminum tips just in front of the rear tires.
The Sublime Green exterior paint has flat black accents. Black grille inserts, a deep front fascia, body-side cladding and roll pan top off the look.
This Ram rides on Alcoa 22-inch custom-forged, polished-aluminum wheels. Tires are 40 series Pirelli Scorpion Zeros.
