1942 Willys MB

Willys redesigned the MA to create the next generation MB, removing items to reduce the vehicle's weight by about 400 pounds in order to come closer to the Army's specs.

In all, Willys built more than 368,000 vehicles for the US Army. After the war Willys trademarked the name "Jeep" and set out to market their vehicles for civilian use. One of their early slogans was The Sun Never Sets on the Mighty Jeep, making reference to its broad use around the world.
