2011 Ram Pickup Trucks Recall
12/24/2010Chrysler is recalling 2011 Ram pickup trucks to inspect and repair a problem with the rear axle bearing. As of 12/24, the manufacturer had received 20 reports of axle bearing issues -- noise and/or failure.
Owners might hear a grinding noise coming from the rear axle. If the bearing freezes, the truck could stall, and lead to a crash.
Chrysler plans to recall 56,611 Ram 1500 trucks in February, 2011.
