Toyota Introduces TRD T/X and T/X Pro Performance Packages
Toyota added two new performance packages to its 2011 Tacoma truck lineup. Toyota Racing Development (TRD for short) T/X and T/X Pro packages were inspired by the T/X concept truck built for the 2009 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.T/X performance packages are available on a couple of V6 Access Cab and Double Cab trucks:
- 2WD Pre Runner Tacoma trucks, or
- 4WD Tacoma pickups equipped with the TRD Off-Road Package
The T/X package adds several features to Tacoma trucks:
- TRD 16-inch black alloy bead-lock wheels
- 265/70R16 BF Goodrich Rugged Trail tires
- Black side steps
- Stainless steel exhaust tip
- A graphics package
T/X adds $1,699 to the trucks, or $754 less than if you purchased the accessories separately.
The T/X Pro package starts with the same wheel and tire package, but eliminates the side steps while adding a TRD cat-back performance exhaust; the Pro version carries it's own graphics package. List price on the T/X Pro is also $1,699 (a savings of $720).
Toyota accessories are covered by the comprehensive warranty for 3 years or 36,000 miles.
