2009 Nissan Frontier
You won't see major styling changes on the 2009 Frontier truck, but there are some notable updates:
- New PRO-4X Model
- Value Truck Packages that add extra equipment for less $$ than if items are ordered individually
- Newly designed front headlights
- Slight changes to the truck's grille
- Two new 16" wheels; one on the SE and another on the PRO-4X truck
- New 18" wheels on LE trucks
- LE trucks have new seat cloth
- Two new exterior colors, red brick and navy blue
- V6 models have a new center radio and HVAC control stack
PRO-4X Nissan Frontier Truck
ExteriorNissan's new PRO-4X Frontier offers sportier styling along with increased off-road capabilities. The truck has a body colored grille, bumpers, door handles and outside mirrors. Fog lights come with the package.
Interior
Inside the PRO-4X you'll find white-faced gauges and trip computer with chrome trim. The truck's steering wheel is red-stitched leather -- manual transmission pickups have a matching shift knob.
Opt for Nissan's Value Package on the CrewCab PRO-4X to get black leather heated front seats with red stitching -- 8-way power for the driver and 4-way for the passenger. The package includes a fold-down center armrest and heated outside mirrors.
PRO-4X Truck Off-Road Upgrades
- Bilstein off-road high-pressure shocks
- Additional skid plates to protect the oil pan and transfer case
- Electronically controlled locking rear differential
- 2-wheel or 4-wheel anti-lock brake controlled limited slip
- Unique machine-finished 16-inch aluminum off-road wheels with BFGoodrich Rugged Trail tires
Frontier Frame
The Frontier's high tensile-strength steel, fully boxed ladder frame is lighter but stronger than conventional steel. The truck has a double-wishbone front suspension and solid axle rear suspension, with long suspension travel for good off-road capabilities.
