HUMMER has redesigned its H2 series for 2008, and that includes the H2 SUT, the automaker's version of a sport utility truck.
The 2008 H2 SUT has a new, 6.2-liter all-aluminum V-8 engine rated at 393 hp -- that's about 20 percent more than the previous engine. A new 6-speed automatic transmission gets the power to the ground, and its tall overdrive gear keeps the engine rpms down. Since the engine runs at slower speeds, fuel economy is improved. Towing ability has increased to 8,000 pounds for 2008.
