2011 GMC Sierra Heavy Duty Pickup Trucks

GMC chose the National Truck Equipment Association's 2010 Work Truck Show for the official unveiling of its 2011 Sierra Heavy Duty truck. The truck on display was a Denali model -- the first time the luxury-packed Denali trim has been available on an HD pickup.

Trucks with the Denali trim are outfitted with a body-color bumper and a styled lower valance. The grill is chrome, and differs from the unit used with standard trim levels. Inside are leather seats, wood and brushed aluminum trim on the dash and doors and more wood trim on the steering wheel. Other interior options include heated and cooled seats and a heated steering wheel.

The Denali Sierra is available as a 2500 Crew Cab with a standard bed and powered with either a gas or diesel engine. The truck pulls a max of 15,600 pounds when equipped with a fifth wheel hitch or 13,000 pounds with a conventional hitch and has a max payload of 2,959 pounds.

Expect to see a few tweaks before the trucks arrive on dealer lots.
