Chrysler's Lifetime Powertrain Warranty

Lifetime Powertrain Warranty Replaces 3-Year / 36,000 Mile Warranty

Chrysler is converting its 3-year/36000-mile powertrain warranty to a lifetime warranty for the first registered owner or lessee of new Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles delivered on or after July 26, 2007.

The new warranty covers the parts and labor required to repair a vehicle's engine, transmission and drive system. To keep the warranty active, owners must have an authorized dealer inspect the powertrain once every five years. There's no charge for the inspection, but it has to be completed within 60 days of each 5-year anniversary of the warranty's starting date.

Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep dealers can give you all the details about the new program.
