One thing that's consistent about Silverado trucks in general -- you can get them in just about any configuration that suits you. The truck in this gallery is a 2007 Silverado 1500 Extended Cab LT1 two-wheel drive model. Its leather seats were comfortable and provided good visibility. The truck handled well on winding roads, and while I didn't have a chance to tow with the truck, I did have the opportunity to haul a small Honda bike for about twenty miles -- a simple task and a smooth ride.
In a week of driving about 550 miles, mostly at 40 mph or higher, the truck used gas at a rate of 16.3 miles per gallon.
