This Silverado was equipped with the optional locking, EZ lift tailgate, which has a torsion bar system that helps you close it. Chevrolet says the system reduces lifting effort by about 40%. I liked this feature; it's one of those options that doesn't sound like much, but could save you a lot of lifting during the life of the truck.
