Unit-Body with Full Ladder Type Frame

A high strength, ladder type frame serves as the Honda Ridgeline's backbone. Cab and upper bed supports are attached to the frame.

The frame design combines the benefits of unit-body construction and body-on-frame construction.

The end result is a combination frame that is stronger than either individual design.

The red areas in the photo above show the full frame, which is the backbone of the vehicle. The yellow areas are the truck's body structure, which provide rigidity to reduce flex.
