Under the Hood of the FHD F-150
The truck is powered by a 5.4-liter V-8 engine producing 300 hp at 5,000 rpm. A specially tuned exhaust system gives the truck a deeper sound than the stock F-150.
Exterior Appearance
The new truck is a SuperCab version of the F-150 and has a 6-1/2-foot Styleside bed. The F-150 has a black and chrome color scheme inside and out. A red stripe outlined in blue sits high along each front door and runs to the end of the bed. The words "Harley-Davidson" rest underneath each stripe at its end.
A chrome billet grille, its horizontal bars unique to this truck, is flanked on either side by blacked-out headlamps. The truck's 22-inch polished forged aluminum rims have a split 5-spoke design, exposed lug nuts and an outline of the Harley bar and shield logo on center caps.
A special chin spoiler and chrome-accented side steps work together to give the truck a sporty, lowered appearance. You'll find more badging on the fenders and tailgate, all chrome of course to fit in with the theme of truck. Other features include smoked-out tail lamps, a blacked-out bumper, chrome tie-down hooks and a slash-cut chrome exhaust tip.
Inside the Ford Harley-Davidson F-150
Front captain's chairs are covered in black leather and embossed with the Harley logo. High-gloss black surfaces in the interior are accented with more chrome and more renditions of the Harley logo. A serialized nickel plate displays the vehicle's production date and number.
Response to Feedback
Ford responded to customer feedback by building the truck with sport suspension, adding 22-inch wheels and by giving consumers the choice of an all wheel drive or 4x2 truck.
