Third Generation RAV4

The 2006 Toyota RAV4 didn't just get a facelift -- the vehicles shown at the 2005 SEMA show in Las Vegas are the first of a brand new generation for the automaker's popular small SUV.

Longer, wider, more streamlined -- that's the new RAV4. The standard 4-cylinder engine is more powerful than in previous years and a V6 is available on all models for drivers who want or need more of a boost.

Toyota removed the mouldings from the windshield and door glass, improving looks, enhancing aerodynamics and reducing wind noise. A two-ply hood insulator is available and should help reduce cabin noise even more.

Estimated Mileage

4-cylinder RAV4:

    4x2: 24 city / 29 highway
    4x4: 23 city / 27 highway

V6 RAV4:

    4x2: 20 city / 28 highway
    4x4: 20 city / 27 highway

Toyota's comprehensive warranty: 36-month/36,000-miles. Powertrain: 60 months/60,000 miles.
