2006 Toyota RAV4 Limited Introduction

This is the 3rd generation of what was once Toyota's cute-ute, then a welcome relief from the hefty SUVs beginning to clog the highways. But it is no longer compact. In fact the RAV4 is now one of those big boats itself, albeit attractive and well-equipped. The base engine is a 2.4 liter four of 166 hp, more than adequate for this vehicle. Our test RAV4 featured the "Limited" package which includes a lengthy list of extras for a nominal price of $22,555. EPA fuel estimate: 23/28 mpg with 4WD.
