2006 Chevy HHR Intro
Chevy chose the 2005 Greater Los Angeles Auto Show to unveil its retro HHR, a vehicle that blends elements of the 1949 Chevy Suburban with the look of Chevy's current SSR roadster pickup. The result is a part SUV, part car, part truckish vehicle that the automaker hopes will appeal to a broad range of drivers.
Why LA? Because it's the home of customization, and Chevy feels the HHR is the perfect vehicle to customize. They even demonstrated the possibilities by bringing along a second Chevy HHR, a customized version designed and outfitted by West Coast Customs, a company you might know from the MTV Show "Pimp My Ride."
