Nissan trucks have sure come a long way since the basic compact trucks we drove years ago. I worked with them in the 1970's -- back when they were still called Datsun's in the US. Seems like a long time ago -- I guess it was a long time ago.
We all liked the trucks -- they were sure different than any of the big trucks we drove. Sporty instead of clunky. Load them up and they'd still get good gas mileage. Gas prices had spiked up, and although we didn't talk about fuel economy as much back then--saving money at the pump was good.
You might have read B.J. Killeen's reviews on Aaron's About Cars Web site. She's stepped over to Trucks to give us this photo review of the 2006 Nissan Frontier 4x4.
If you're into trivia, take a look at Nissan's role in America's compact truck heritage.
