Ted, I really hope you'll make an informed choice and pick the right truck for your needs. I know that you're rich enough to buy one of each, but that's the kind of wasteful spending that got you forced out at Time Warner.

If you're seriously considering the Lincoln Mark LT 4X4, you've got to check out the Ford F-150. The top of the line King Ranch 4X4 lists at $40,750 before options – almost $1,500 cheaper than the Mark LT, maybe more after all the options are added on. You'll get the same basic mechanicals and a better-looking truck, in my opinion.

You should also look at the other two luxury trucks – the Cadillac Escalade EXT and the HUMMER H2 SUT. Both ring up at thousands higher than the Mark LT, but are also different takes on the whole luxury-pickup game. While you're at it, you might as well drive the Dodge Ram 1500, the GMC Sierra 1500, the Nissan Titan and the Toyota Tundra. You can load any one of those down with accessories to match the Mark LT, and you can choose more horsepower to boot. I know it's not all about power, Ted, but really – it ought to be.

If you're intent on getting a Lincoln Mark LT, expect a lot of attention. The Mark LT might get you back in the public eye, Ted. And wouldn't that make Jane jealous?
