In the Driver's Seat of the F-150 King Ranch

Inside the F-150's cabin, the King Ranch theme is even more apparent. Another seven or so Running W's are scattered about, embossed in the rich leather seats and sewed on to the floor mats. In case you forget that you're in a King Ranch F-150, there's another big logo on the center console armrest. The thick leather is said to be Castano Leather -- I have no idea what that means. I think it's like "Corinthian Leather" -- look it up. The seats and leather trim are expertly installed, with thick, visible stitching and seams. It's all reminiscent of saddle work, which is the point.

Unfortunately, the attractive front seats are incredibly uncomfortable, with pressure points that become more painful the longer you sit. I'd have to add a seat pad to be able to live with the King Ranch seats.

The F-150's dash is tasteful and simple, with big, clear analog gauges. I have to question the color combinations on the dash, however. Tan and grey plastic compete for attention with the brown leather accents, and everybody loses. It's an odd look. The back seat of the SuperCrew is a worthy perch, wide and comfortable with good leg room. The 70/30 split seat easily folds up, leaving a wide load floor that's very useful. My dog loved riding back there.
