The 2005 Saturn Relay might be a good choice for anyone who needs to comfortably carry seven passengers, but prefers the look of an SUV. The crossover mid-van's sporty, SUV-like styling could help put those buyers into a Saturn product.

Exterior Styling

  • Wide, prominent, exposed C-pillars
  • 17-inch wheels and wide tires
  • Horizontal front grille, with about a 2-inch bumper offset
  • Ebony-colored lower cladding carries through the rockers then up into the taillamps
  • Optional roof rack

Two Trim Levels

The base Relay has standard 17-inch steel wheels with a composite center bolt-on disc, with a six-spoke design and the Saturn emblem in the middle.

The uplevel Relay has six-spoke bright silver painted aluminum wheels that feature Saturn’s emblem.

Inside the Relay

  • Front overhead console and overhead rail system
  • Rear convenience center/cargo system
  • Foldable, removable second and third row seats
  • 50/50 split-stowable third row, fold flat bench seat
  • Rear seat entertainment system with a DVD player that has a flip-down screen and integrated controls
  • Three-spoke steering wheel
    • Base models have a urethane steering wheel
    • Uplevel models have a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls
  • Seating
    • The base model's seats have inserts with bolsters made of a new product that Saturn says provides a leather-like look, feel and wear
    • Leather-appointed seats are available with the uplevel model

  • Power heated outside mirrors
  • An AM/FM stereo with CD/MP3 player and six speakers
  • Power windows and locks
  • Remote keyless entry
  • Front passenger visor vanity mirror
  • An overhead rail system for accessory storage modules

The Uplevel Relay Adds

  • Body-color door handles
  • A six-way power driver’s seat
  • Rear HVAC controls
  • A convenience package that includes a cargo area storage module, floor mats, power rear quarter windows, illuminated visor vanity and a theft-deterrent system

Safety Features

  • 16-inch, standard four-wheel anti-lock braking system (ABS)
  • Enhanced Traction Control system that improves vehicle launch capabilities on all road surfaces
  • Available StabiliTrak, GM’s Vehicle Stability Enhancement System aids handling and control in many driving conditions
  • Available Versatrak all-wheel drive
  • Standard OnStar, including 12 months Safe & Sound services
