Factory accessories are made specifically for each vehicle, so they fit perfectly with no modifications. They are covered by a 36-month factory warranty if they are installed by a GM dealer when you take delivery of a new vehicle (less when installed afterwards). Here's an overview of accessories that you'll be able to order with your 2005 Chevy truck.
Colorado
- Soft Tonneau Cover: The tonneau is held in place by an aluminum frame that attaches to the truck bed with a clamp system. It features the Colorado logo and is designed to resist sagging when it's covered with rain or snow. You can open the tailgate when the cover is on.
Bed Extender: The extender swings out over the open tailgate to provide additional bed length, or swings in to form a contained cargo area. It is compatible with bedliners and tonneau covers.
Bedrug: A new, weather resistant liner made from a durable material that looks and feels like carpet. It's soft, so it offers protection for delicate items, but Chevy says it is durable enough to haul rugged loads like firewood, bricks and tools. The liner repel liquids, moisture and most stains and will not rot or mildew.
Molded Bed Rail Protectors: Contoured protectors with a unique diamond pattern design are available in black.
Molded Hood Protectors: Custom designed protectors follow the contour of the hood to help deflect road debris. They are available in Smoke, Fine Silver Birch, Victory Red, Olympic White and Indigo Blue to match the Colorado's exterior colors.
Sport Tent: A self-contained unit that converts the Colorado into a camper. The lightweight unit sleeps two and is made with water-resistant nylon. It fits into a small carrying pouch for easy storage. The tent has a form-fitted waterproof floor that extends out onto the tailgate and a roll-out awning to keep out sun and wind. An air mattress featuring the Chevy logo is sold separately.
Silverado 1500
- 20-inch Wheels: Choose from 10 designs, available in polished, chrome, or silver-faced finishes.
- Similar to the cover described for the Colorado, but with the Chevy bowtie logo molded into the top.
- The Folding Hard Tonneau Cover can be locked. You can fold it back for easy access to cargo.
Tubular Side Steps: Stainless steel side steps with large textured step pads attach to the vehicle's frame. Available finished in chrome or black.

Bed Liner: A hard, composite liner with deep ribs to protect the truck bed and tailgate. It is contoured to the inside of the bed to provide an exact fit and easy cleaning. The bed has a skid-resistant floor to help keep loads loads from shifting.
Chrome Bed Rails: Chrome-finished tubular rails that run the full length of the truck bed.
Bed Rail Protectors: Protection for the top rail surfaces of the truck bed. They are molded from a tough composite material with a pattern that matches the trim on the vehicle.
Tonneau Covers: Chevy offers both a Soft and a Folding Hard Tonneau Cover for the Silverado 1500.
SSR
Integrated Running Boards: Satin chrome running boards have a non-slip surface and appear to float about a half inch from the rocker panels.
Cargo Netting Package: A telescoping crossbar positioned between the upper bed rails expands and contracts to conform to the shape of the bed when moved forward and back. Cargo netting attaches to the crossbar and tailgate with tie-down rings to hold items in place. The netting package is adjustable to the length of the cargo area.
Engine Cover Insert: Covers the top of the engine area and is available in matching body colors.
Integrated Side-Saddle Storage: These ebony-finished, form-fitted boxes attach to the floor and side tracks.
Wind Break: An accessory that helps reduce noise when you travel with the top down. It's made from a mesh-like fabric with a hard plastic border that fits in behind the seat back and reaches up slightly higher than the seat.
Tool Kit for Cargo Compartment: The kit contains basic tools, such as screwdrivers and wrenches. The case fits into an area on the underside of the cargo cover.
