New Hill Descent
The 4WD NISMO Frontier offers Hill Descent Control, HDC, which operates in 4HI or 4Lo and allows the driver to descend a hill in either forward or reverse at a consistent speed without applying the brakes. HDC is activated with a switch.
Hill Start Assist
Hill Start Assist, HSA, keeps the vehicle from moving backwards for two seconds while you move your foot from the brake to the accelerator. It works in 4HI and 4LO and is designed for situations where you have to stop and start on a hill.
