Kia is well on its way to being a major player in the U.S., and the completely redone 2005 Kia Sportage is going to help in a big way. The Sportage maintains its affordability, starting at $15,900 for the LX model and working up to a base of $19,999 for the top-level EX.

With a long list of standard features, including six airbags, two engine choices (a 2.0-liter four or the 2.7-liter V-6) and that excellent 10-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty with a 5-year/60,000-mile basic warranty, Kia better find a way to raise the production capacity.
