Pacing 20 NASCAR Races
A Chevrolet SSR will be onhand to pace 20 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup races during the 2005 season.The new SSR pace vehicle has a bright yellow nose. Orange and red racing flames start just past the front fenders and stream backwards towards the dark blue truck bed.
The event logo for each race will be featured on both door panels. A red Chevy bowtie will be displayed on the hood of the SSR.
About the 2005 production SSR:
- A new 6.0-liter small-block V-8 engine producing 390 hp
- Optional six-speed manual transmission helps take the SSR from 0-60 mph in 5.29 seconds
- Standard one-button, power-operated retractable hardtop that stows vertically and out of sight without reducing cargo carrying capacity
