I'll be adding lots of new subjects and features in the coming days, focusing on 2003 truck models with as many previews of 2004's as possible. I hope you'll stop in often to use the resources and take part in the growing Trucks Community.

Up Close with Toyota Tacoma
Tacoma trucks account for nearly ten percent of Toyota's sales in the US. Seventeen model configurations based on three cab types mean a whole host of choices for anyone who's in the market for a Toyota Tacoma.

1) Windstar Using Too Much Oil
"I have a 99 Windstar that is taking one quart of oil each week. It is on mainly highway miles about 160 miles each week. There is no oil leaking to the bottom or ground. I have never seen smoke from the exhaust but I do smell a "yucky" smell if I 'gun' the engine...and sometimes you can hear a rattle in the engine area..." -TCCARLTON

2) S-10 Transmission Problems
"I have a 2000 S-10, V-6 automatic w/38,000 miles...the transmission seems to hesitate between gears, and sometimes actually jams hard from gear to gear...also hesitates when going from park to drive, or park to reverse...I told the dealer about it before the warranty ended and, of course, they couldn't "duplicate the problem during the test run", and told me it was fine." -PAUL13695

3) More Oil Use Issues
"I have a 1987 Astro van with the 4.3 V6 engine...mostly city driving...low miles for the age (about 50K)...suddenly begun to eat the oil at the rate of one quart every 25 miles...a lot of white smoke at the exhaust at heavy acceleration, none at idle...power is not affected...Check engine light does not come on, diagnose scanner tells everything is OK..." -LUGOSSI
