The first Nissan Titan, a red King Cab SE 4x4, rolled off Nissan North Americas (NNA) assembly line today. The vehicle is Nissan's first offering in the full-size truck segment.
After the debut of the first Titan, Nissan brought out a second truck, this one towing a multi-ton bulldozer in a demonstration of the vehicle's horsepower, torque and 9,500-pound towing capacity.
The Titan truck is the third product to come out of Cantons assembly line in less than five months.
The Quest minivan began production this spring, and the Pathfinder Armada full-size SUV was added in August of this year.
Titan is powered by Nissans Endurance 5.6-liter V8, which produces 305-horsepower and 379 lb-ft of torque. It boasts the full-size truck segments only five-speed automatic transmission, and a best-in-class fuel economy at 14 mpg in city driving and either 18 mpg or 19 mpg in highway driving, depending on drive configuration.
The Titan's Wide-Open rear door on the King Cab opens nearly 180 degrees, providing almost unlimited access to the rear seats. Titan also features the industrys first factory-applied, fully-warranted spray-in bedliner to prevent scratches and corrosion.
The first Titan will be donated to the City of Canton for use by its Public Works Department.
