Ford premiered its revamped F-150 pickup at the 2003 NAIA show in Detroit.
A quick look at features announced there:
New interiors, more spacious passenger compartments.
Regular cab has new access doors that make it easy to store things behind the seats.
New 5.4-liter, 3-valve Triton V8 engine produces 300 peak horsepower, a 15-percent improvement. Greater fuel efficiency is another plus.
New outboard rear shock absorbers and wide rear leaf springs.
Expanded cargo area. Standard Tailgate Assist helps owners open and close the gate.
Three cab choices.
Three box lengths, two box styles.
