Ford Recalling 650,000 Trucks for Brake Hose Problems
Thursday May 15, 2008
Ford is still calling in trucks for cruise control problems, and now the automaker has another recall issue to deal with. Over 650,000 Ford F-150 and Lincoln Mark LT truck owners will be asked to take their vehicles to a dealer so that a manifold brake hose can be replaced. There's a chance that the hose can become detached, switching off the brake assist function (11 minor accidents have been reported so far). Drivers can stop a truck if the hose comes loose, but slowing it down will require more force to the brake pedal.
