It's 1948... Ford Introduces a Brand New Truck
Saturday July 25, 2009
Ford's F-Series is in its 11th Generation, and has undergone more changes to comfort and power during the past 61 years than the majority of truck owners could have envisioned when the pickups were introduced in 1948. Seat belts didn't become an option until the second generation, and visibility wasn't the greatest in those first trucks. You won't see power windows, doors or seats, and what was regarded as comfortable back then would be a hard-sell in any contemporary pickup. But they were pure truck, and owning one is on the to-do lists of Ford truck fans throughout the world.
