2009 Chevy Silverado Heavy Duty Pickup Trucks

Most of us can get by just fine with a 1/2-ton truck, like the Chevy Silverado 1500, the Ford F-150 or the Dodge Ram 1500. But if you require extra power for hauling and towing, you'll need to step up to a heavier duty truck. The Silverado 2500 (a 3/4 ton truck) and 3500 (a 1-ton truck) are two options. Chevy added quite a few features to its 2009 HD lineup, some as standard equipment and others as options -- you'll find changes to both comfort and structure.

GM To Stop Producing Medium Duty Trucks

GM has announced the end of its medium duty truck lineup. Production of the Chevy Kodiak and the GMC Topkick will cease by July 31st of this year. The decision was made after a four-year (failed) attempt to find a potential buyer for the truck operations.
