Newly Designed Dodge Ram

I had a chance to spend a day behind the wheel of several different versions of the 2009 Dodge Ram, road testing them on the freeway, on two-lane highways and on some rougher trails in the hills for a taste of the new design's off-road capabilities. One truck was HEMI-equipped, with an Airstream trailer behind it, a good setup to check out the Ram's new coil spring rear suspension. Another pickup had a 1,000 pound load in the bed to help test suspension from another angle. The bottom line: Dodge put some thought into the new truck, making improvements to just about every system.
