Should You Buy a Used Pickup Truck?

Thursday February 26, 2009
Keith Griffin is About.com's Guide to Used Cars. He's put some thought into the current truck downtrend and offers some good reasons why now's the time to buy a used pickup instead of grabbing one of those new-vehicle deals. Keith mentions something that hadn't sunk in with me yet -- because truck values are down, insurance companies are more likely to write them off as salvage instead of paying for repairs they would have approved just months ago (hopefully you purchased gap insurance if you bought the truck new). Keith has plenty of other helpful information on his site, so pay him a visit whenever you need facts about buying and selling used vehicles.
