2009 Ford Ranger Highlights

In 1981, Ford held a press conference to unveil its plans for the new Ranger pickup truck, a small truck with a name borrowed from a trim level used in Ford's F-Series lineup. The first Rangers hit the streets as 1983 models, replacing the (Mazda) Ford Courier. Will the Ranger continue to be built? Only Ford knows for sure, but its "best compact truck fuel economy" ranking probably gave it at least a temporary reprieve from the chopping block.
