Truck & Car of the Year Awards at NAIAS

I just had a phone call from Dale. He's at the COBO convention center in downtown Detroit for the North American International Auto Show, where they just announced the winners for Car and Truck of the Year. The show's top award for trucks went to the redesigned Chevy Silverado 1500. The Saturn Aura was tops for cars -- I'm sure Aaron has Aura info over on the About Cars Web site. The Mazda CX-7 and Ford Edge were runners up in the trucks category. Runners up in cars were the Toyota Camry and Honda Fit. Forty-seven independent automotive journalists chose this year's winners. -Janet Wickell
